Why authenticate your bottle?
Fake bottles of rare whisky and spirits do occasionally appear on the market. It is therefore important for you to be 100% sure your bottle is genuine and contains the liquid that is stated on the label.
What is Prooftag?
Prooftag is a security seal and electronic tag for your bottle.
Does each bottle have a unique identity code?
Each Prooftag seal contains a unique code that acts as an electronic birth certificate for your bottle. You can scan the Prooftag and see all the details about the identity and contents of your bottle.
How do I authenticate my bottle?
Simply click on the link below to be taken to the Prooftag page where you can enter your unique code. This will allow you to view information about your bottle.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PROOFTAG WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOTTLE?
The Prooftag seal is broken and the tag is damaged when you open the bottle. The Prooftag cannot be replaced or resealed once the bottle has been opened.
WHO USES PROOFTAG?
Prooftag technology is used by top Bordeaux wine estates such as Ch. Margaux and Ch. Lafite to guarantee the authenticity of all their wines.
